This course will focus on how to incorporate research into your work without overwhelming your audience or getting bogged down in exposition.

We will explore how to let go of research, how to wrap exposition so it is character-driven, and how to move from a topic the playwright is fascinated (obsessed) with, to an effective dramatic work.  

This class will emphasize in-class exercises and the gathering of new tools to approach existing research-based projects, though project-specific work may be shared in the latter part of the semester.
